Miami acknowledges October as National Cyber Security Month

Once again Miami is taking part in recognizing the importance of National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM) with a variety of events on the Oxford, Hamilton, and Middletown campuses. An information booth will be available at various locations on each campus throughout the month of October. Stop by to learn about how you can better protect yourself, your information, and your devices, as well as meet Miami’s information security staff and spin the prize wheel.National Cyber Security Awareness Month

Information and cyber security continue to grow as significant issues for higher education, and for individuals everywhere. Because of this, October has been deemed as National Cyber Security Awareness Month. It was created as a collaborative effort between government and industry to ensure every American has the resources they need to stay safer and more secure online. 2017 marks the 14th year of National Cyber Security Awareness Month.

Information Booth Schedule

All sessions will take place between 11:00 am - 1:00 pm.

October 5: Armstrong Student Center (2nd floor)
October 10: Hamilton campus (Schwarm Hall)
October 17: Armstrong Student Center (2nd floor)
October 25: Middletown campus (Johnston Hall)
