RedHawk student-athletes compile 3.15 GPA average

During the recently completed fall semester, 202 of just more than 500 Miami student-athletes recorded at least "B" averages and 18 of them compiled perfect 4.0 grade point averages.

Led by the women's cross country team's combined 3.64 GPA, the cumulative GPA average of all RedHawk athletes was an impressive 3.15. Nearly 82 percent of Miami's athletes had GPAs of at least 2.5.

Thirteen of Miami's 18 varsity teams—three men's and 10 women's squads—registered at least a 3.06 team GPA, while three other teams had average GPAs ranging from 2.93 to 2.98.

Miami's top academic performing teams:

1) 3.64 GPA by women's cross country (21 total athletes)

2) 3.49 GPA by women's tennis (14)

3) 3.43 GPA by women's swimming & diving (40)

4) 3.42 GPA by women's track & field (28)

5) 3.39 GPA by women's volleyball (17)

6) 3.32 GPA by men's cross country (9)

7) 3.25 GPA by women's basketball (13)

8) 3.22 GPA by women's synchronized skating (53)

9) 3.21 GPA by women's field hockey (18)

10) 3.15 GPA by women's softball (23)
