Zullig receives Smith Promise Award
Kelly Zulling, a fourth-year doctoral student in zoology, received the William and Karl Smith Promise Award for unusual promise in research in the fields of neuroscience and brain sciences. The award includes a $1,000 cash prize.
Zullig is researching the neuroendocrine regulatory mechanisms that mediate the stress response. She works with her major advisor Phyllis Callahan (zoology), assistant dean of the College of Arts and Science.
The William and Karl Smith Promise Award is made possible by a gift from William Smith (Miami ’43).
