This fall, Miami Metro has a different provider and a new look as buses enter the fleet with an updated design.
The look includes lots of Miami red with updated Miami logos and was created by Lynne Wagner, environmental graphic designer in the physical facilities department. The buses were part of a contract agreement with Laidlaw Education Services, a national company in school transportation. The company began operating the Miami Metro this summer after being awarded the contract this past spring.
The Miami Metro provides transportation around the campus, uptown and to several off-campus student-housing areas. Four routes - Blue, Red, Green and Yellow - interconnect so passengers can ride within the area by transferring from one route to another. Students who are currently registered may ride the Miami Metro; faculty and staff are eligible to purchase a bus pass.
The buses operate daily during fall and spring semesters excluding university recognized holidays.
