Terri Feldman Barr
Terri Feldman Barr has been promoted to professor of marketing. She earned her doctorate in marketing at the University of Cincinnati. Her 25 years in university classrooms has resulted in numerous accolades for outstanding teaching, including winning a Farmer School of Business Teaching Effectiveness Award, being nominated several times for the Associated Student Government Outstanding Educator Award, and being honored by Ohio Magazine as one of Ohio's top educators. Her pedagogical research has appeared in the Journal of Marketing Education and the Journal of Business Education. Her disciplinary research focuses on conflict in sales teams and service failure and recovery, and has appeared in the Journal of Personal Selling and Sales Management, and the Journal of Services Marketing among others. Barr has begun a new research stream focusing on the use of social enterprise by nonprofits. She has established a national reputation through her service to the American Marketing Association, where she has served as editor of two AMA publications and as vice-president for teaching on the Academic Council. Her service to the university, Farmer School of Business and local community has included establishment of the Miami University Emergency Fund for laid-off employees, and ComMUnity, a community service-based student organization of the Farmer School of Business.
