School of Education, Health and Society seeks nominees

Miami University’s School of Education, Health and Society (EHS) will honor graduates who have made a difference in their community and profession.

Nominations will be accepted for EHS graduates who had an impact:

  • a teacher or principal who inspired his or her students
  • a coach who challenged you
  • a social worker, counselor or special educator who was there when your family most needed support
  • a dietician or athletic trainer who provided just the right combination of knowledge and motivation to help you achieve a healthier lifestyle
  • a volunteer who gave his or her time and talents as a mentor, tutor or caregiver.

"As I’ve travel around the country this year, I have been fortunate to meet many wonderful Miami alumni. In the process, I’ve been amazed by the profound impact our graduates are having in their chosen fields and private lives. The magnitude of this impact is immeasurable and sometimes overlooked," Carine Feyten, EHS dean, said.

A special event to be held this spring will honor the winner of the 2011 EHS Profound Impact Award.

Nomination forms are available by calling 529-6317. Deadline is Jan. 9, 2011.
