Collegiate synchronized skate team wins nationals; Senior team goes to world championship


Miami's collegiate synchronized skate team
Miami University's collegiate synchronized skating team made history March 5 at the U.S. National Championships, winning an unprecedented seventh-straight national title and capturing gold for the 13th time in program history.

The RedHawks won the national crown by an 11-point margin among a 12-team field.

Earning its best scores of the season for both programs, Miami University’s senior synchronized skating team returns to the ISU World Championships behind a second-place finish at the U.S. National Championships March 5.

After a one-year hiatus from the World Championships, Miami will represent the United States at this ISU World Championships in Helsinki, Finland April 8-9, marking the sixth appearance for the RedHawks at the World Championships in the last seven years. Details are at
