Miami University launches this week its fall 2011 advertising campaign, centered on the transformative moment captured in the newly created television commercial unveiled earlier this fall.
“As educators, we live for the moments that change students, driving them to become who they are, whether it is an “Aha” moment in the classroom, during a group project, or even while writing a paper. These are the moments we live for, why we teach, and who we are,” said Tracy Hughes, director of Miami’s marketing and creative services department.
This message will be represented in cable television spots, radio announcements, on billboards, in cinema ads and online on Pandora and Facebook. Look for the commercial during the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade Thursday, Nov. 24. Hughes added that elements of the campaign will run in Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton, Toledo, and Chicago.
In the Cincinnati area, radio spots will air on WGRR-FM (103.5), WKFS-FM (107.1), WKRQ-FM (101.9), and WLW-AM (700). The television spots will air on such cable stations as: ESPN, ESPN2, USA, TNT, FX, and Fox Sports Ohio. Billboards will be placed throughout the city. A shortened commercial will be shown prior to the feature presentations at various movie theaters. Miami also is a sponsor for the Fountain Square ice rink, which hosts a broomball tournament each year.
