Bundy to be interim VP for university advancement

Brad Bundy
Brad Bundy, associate vice president for university advancement at Miami University, has agreed to serve as interim vice president beginning Feb. 1, 2012, and continue until a search for a new vice president is complete.

Jayne Whitehead, who has served as vice president since 2000, is taking another role in the division due to health issues. Whitehead will become Miami's senior director of development for planned giving on Feb. 1. A national search for a successor to Whitehead will continue this spring.

"Brad has been at the heart of Advancement for many years," said David Hodge, president. "He is a proven leader who is deeply connected to, and respected by, all parts of the university and our alumni and donors. He will most certainly continue to develop our momentum in raising support for Miami. I am excited to work with him in the months ahead."

Bundy has more than 25 years of higher education development experience, and has been at Miami since 2001. As associate vice president, he has served as director of the $500 million Campaign For Love and Honor, and has been a member of the First in 2009 Coordinating Council and the university's Bicentennial Committee. Recently, Bundy was elected to the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) District V Board of Directors.
