Miami's Farmer School part-time MBA program ranked best in region

Miami University's part-time MBA program ranks higher than any other program in southwest Ohio, according to U.S. News & World Report's latest graduate business school rankings.

According to results released March 13, the part-time MBA program offered by Miami’s Farmer School of Business is ranked 59th in the country. The new program is in its third year, having graduated its first class last spring and appears in the ranking the first year for which it was eligible.

“I’m exceptionally pleased with this ranking,” said Roger L. Jenkins, dean of the Farmer School of Business. “It shows that the Farmer School brand is well-known across the country. Our part-time MBA is an outstanding program that’s specifically tailored for working professionals who already have business and work experience. We use our strong network of alumni to supplement the learning experience with hands-on projects and executive speakers.”

The program is taught at Miami’s Voice of America Learning Center in West Chester, which gives it strong appeal for working professionals in the Cincinnati and Dayton metro areas. Classes are taught by a mix of professors and industry experts using real-world case studies and classroom speakers. Faculty instruction is enhanced through engagement and discussion with student peers.

Each year, U.S. News & World Report ranks professional school programs in business. The rankings are based on two types of data: expert opinions about program excellence and statistical indicators that measure the quality of a school’s faculty, research and students. More than 1,200 business school programs and over 15,000 academics and professionals were included in this year’s survey.
