His work, "folded circle two squares," can be seen in front of the Miami University Art Museum.
A special exhibition of work by renowned artist/sculptor Fletcher Benton, bachelor of fine arts, Miami '55, will be on display March 27-April 5 in Miami's Hiestand North Gallery.

Benton’s work can be found in the collections of prominent venues such as the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Corcoran Gallery of Art and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. He was the recipient of the 2008 International Sculpture Center Lifetime Achievement award in Contemporary Sculpture.

The exhibition is in conjunction with the Distinguished Artist Alumni Awards ceremony at 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, in Hall Auditorium for the recognition of outstanding School of Fine Arts alumni who have made significant contributions in their respective fields.

This special Year of the Arts event will recognize Benton along with Miamians Jim Clemes, bachelor of environmental design, '80; Robert Honeysucker, master of music, '71; and Klara Zieglerova, master of arts in theatre, '92. A reception at Alumni Hall will follow the program. The event is free and open to all.

The Hiestand Gallery is open 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
