Miami University will hold its first Intercontinental Week April 16-20. The week, organized by several organizations on campus, will celebrate cultural diversity.

Monday, April 16
MacMillan Great Room: 3:30-5 pm. FREE admission.
This day is geared toward celebrating the world cultures and sharing information about Intercontinental Week. Hillel and the office of International Education will present on various cultures of the world.
Tuesday, April 17
Dance Workshop and Fashion Show
Multipurpose room, Shriver Center: 7-10 p.m. FREE admission.
The African Student Union (ASU), and other organizations open their doors to teach dance and music as well as tasty cuisines and fashion.
Wednesday, April 18
Stadium Bar & Grill: 10-11 p.m.
The Association of Latin and American Studies (ALAS) offers lessons in salsa, merengue, bachata and reggaeton. $5 cover.
Thursday, April 19
Rwanda Genocide Survivor Norah Presentation
1000 Taylor Auditorium, Farmer School of Business: 7 p.m. FREE admission.
Norah Bagirinka will talk about how Rwandese people have bounced back. She will present a documentary and dance.
Friday, April 20
Third Annual International Fair
Lower Alexander: 5-7 p.m. FREE admission.
The International Student Organization opens the doors featuring various cultures at Miami as presented by over 25 student organizations. Cultures will be represented through food, decorations and cultural artifacts.
The week’s events are sponsored by the International Student Organization, the African Students’ Union, Hillel; the Middle Eastern Culture & Club Association, the Muslim Student Association, the Association for Latin American Students, Swing Syndicate, the Native American Student Association, the office of international education and the office of diversity affairs.
