.

The Miami University Art Museum and a collaborative team of faculty and students in history, anthropology, botany and zoology worked for months preparing for the exhibition, “Grass Routes: Pathways to Eurasian Cultures.” Senior history major Patrick Jacobs is a part of the collaboration. Jacobs, a 2012
undergraduate summer scholar
, worked with mentor Dan Prior, assistant professor of history, and Trudy Kawami of the Arthur M. Sackler Foundation, in creating a historical guide to the exhibit.

Jacobs’ interest in the project began while taking Prior’s history course Eurasian Nomads and History last fall.

Besides the historical guide, he assisted art museum staff with the “Grass Routes” exhibit planning and preparation.

The Gallery Guide can be viewed online.

The exhibit features ancient bronzes from the Arthur M. Sackler Foundation through an exploration of Eurasian nomadic cultures. It runs through Dec. 8.
