Miami University students will have the opportunity to preview the legal landscape at the pre-law program's annual Law Day Fair 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31, in the multipurpose room, Shriver Center. Representatives from 76 laws schools will be on hand to meet with interested students.
The representatives provide a broad scope of information about their law schools, including clinical program offerings, admission criteria, scholarship and financial aid information and job placement assistance.
Maria Vitullo, director of Miami’s pre-law program, said, “Given the changes in the legal market and the financial commitment associated with law school, it is more important than ever that students research law schools carefully and ask the important questions.”
Miami’s Pre-Law Center is located in the Sue Henry Pre-Law Program Suite, 159 Upham. The program advises, exposes, and educates Miami students about law school and the practice of law. In addition the center provides a resource library for students to use to research information on law school admissions, areas of legal practice, advice on transitioning from college to law school and insight into the legal profession.
