Panel discussion Nov. 15 centers on "Angels in America in 2012"


A panel discussion, “Contextualizing Identity in ‘Angels in America’ in 2012: A Conversation about Sexuality, Ethnicity, Religion, and Gender," will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, in Studio 88, Center for Performing Arts. The panel is in conjunction with the department of theatre production "Angels in America Part One: Millennium Approaches" by Tony Kushner, and directed by Rosalyn Erat Benson, which opens Nov. 14.

Panelists include: Elizabeth Reitz Mullenix, chair and professor of theatre; Rosalyn Erat Benson, director of Angels in America, assistant dean and instructor of theatre; Reverend Karen Burnard, Holy Trinity Episcopal Church; John Charles Duffy, visiting assistant professor of comparative religion; Ted Peters, academic advisor, College of Arts and Science; Amy Shaiman, human resources; and Demere Woolway, assistant director, Office of Diversity Affairs.
