As the end of year quickly approaches, time is running short to make a tax-deductible gift to Miami University in 2012. All gifts are appreciated, and help to directly benefit students, academic programs, campus beautification and much more.
Here are some year-end deadlines to keep in mind:
Gifts by check – must be postmarked (U.S. mail) by Dec. 31, 2012, or hand-delivered to our office by the end of business day on Dec. 31.
Miami University Annual Giving
725 E. Chestnut St.
Oxford, OH 45056
Gifts by credit card – if sent by mail, must be postmarked (U.S. mail) by Dec. 31, 2012; if made online, Miami must receive transaction details by 11:59 p.m. EST on Dec. 31. Miami accepts contributions on Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express. The secure online site is www.forloveandhonor.org/givetoMU
Gifts of stock – to receive tax credit in 2012, must be received by our broker (Smith Barney or Merrill Lynch) before 2:30 p.m. for a same-day stock transfer. Because of heavy transaction activity, the sooner in December the gift is made, the better. Click here for stock details.
