Juror Gwynne Rukenbrod selected pieces for the exhibition that conveyed “the idea of conceptual craft."

"These artists use labor-intensive practices to create work that is deliberate and elaborately constructed, utilizing traditional craft materials such as metal, wood, fabric, glass, ceramics, and recycled materials.

However, unlike traditional craftspeople, these artists use their highly-refined skills to produce work that is rooted in the conceptual, moving beyond the physical craft process to a more complex set of ideas. In essence, their craft exists in service of content.”
