Pre-law students see benefits of Law Day Fair
Share this Story:
Seventy-seven law schools nationwide registered to meet with Miami University's pre-law students at the annual Law Day Fair this fall — nearly double from last year's 42 law schools.
Seniors took advantage of the opportunity to speak with law school representatives and saw direct benefit from the day's events.
“We encourage students who are interested in attending law school or who are in the process of applying to take full advantage of Miami’s Law Day, whether it be the interviews, the fair, or the mock law class,” said Maria P. Vitullo, Esq., director of Miami University’s pre-law program.
“The day is designed to allow students who intend to apply to law school an opportunity to connect with law schools from across the country to learn more about the schools’ programs. For those who are still exploring their interest in law, the mock law class exposes students to what law school might be like to help them determine whether it would be a good fit for them generally,” Vitullo said.
Among Miami seniors, the acceptance rate to law school is 97 percent, compared to 80 percent nationally.
