Combined choirs perform Feb. 15; guest conductor Mack Wilberg of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir

The Miami University Chamber Singers and Choraliers, directed by William Bausano, and the Collegiate Chorale and Men's Glee Club, directed by Jeremy Jones, will perform at 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, in Hall Auditorium. They will be joined by special guest conductor Mack Wilberg, music director of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.

Wilberg is a former professor of music at Brigham Young University and is active as a composer, arranger, guest conductor and clinician throughout the United States and abroad.

His compositions and arrangements are performed and recorded by choral organizations throughout the world. His works have also been performed by such artists as Renee Fleming, Frederica Von Stade, Natalie Cole and Audra McDonald.

During his visit to Miami Wilberg will also work with high school choirs here for a choral festival on Feb. 16.

The Miami choirs will perform musical arrangements by Wilberg, with pieces ranging from classical to contemporary.

Tickets, $7 adults, $5 students and seniors, are available at the Miami Box Office in the Shriver Center.
