Richard A. Persinger, 70, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, in Liberty Ind. He retired from Miami University where he worked from 1963-1991 in the bursar's office.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1961-1963. He was a member of Beta Theta Pi, and he had worked at their headquarters for 10 years.
He is survived by his wife Beverly (Muenchenbach) Persinger; 2 sons, R. Scott (Sarah) and Daniel H. (Laura) Persinger; grandchildren Danielle, Cody, Curran, Seth; brothers Emery (Anita), George (Bonnie) and Greg; sisters Frances Shepler, Helen (Roy) McLaughlin, Doris (Joe) Byrd and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be Monday, Feb. 25, at the Ogle & Paul R. Young Funeral Home, 5086 College Corner Pike, Oxford, from 10 a.m. until the start of the service at noon. He will be laid to rest in the College Corner Cemetery.
