Faculty invited to STEM research Web workshops from NSF

The Office for the Advancement of Research & Scholarship (OARS) invites you to attend a series of NSF Interactive Web-Based Workshops for STEM researchers. Faculty are welcome to attend as many or as few of the following sessions as they wish.

Proposal Strategy -- Wednesday, 3-5 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, 104 Roudebush
The goal of this workshop is to enhance the participants' understanding of strategies for dealing with several important aspects of an NSF educational project so that they can more effectively address them in preparing proposals or in implementing funded efforts.

Goals and Expected Outcomes -- 3-5 p.m. Thursday, April 18, in 257 Garland Hall
The goal of this workshop is to enhance the participant's ability to write goals and the corresponding expected outcomes for an NSF educational project so that they can more effectively address them in preparing proposals or implementing funded efforts.

Introduction to TUES -- 3-5 p.m. Thursday, April 25, in 257 Garland Hall
The goal of this workshop is to enhance the participants' understanding of goals of the NSF Transforming Undergraduate Education in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (TUES) Program, eligibility information, proposal preparation and submission instructions, program components, evaluation requirements, and merit review principles and requirements.

Broader Impacts -- 3-5 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, in 122 McGuffey Hall
The goal of this workshop is to enhance the participants' understanding of strategies for dealing with broader impacts in an NSF educational project so that they can more effectively address them in preapring proposals or implementing funded efforts.
