Miami's part-time MBA among nation's top 50; Several grad programs in top 100

Miami University's part-time MBA program ranks within the top 50 programs in the U.S., according to U.S. News & World Report's 2014 edition of Best Graduate School rankings.
The rankings released March 12 place Miami's part-time MBA program in the Farmer School of Business at 46th in the country, up from 59th place last year.

The program is in its fourth year. It is taught at Miami’s Voice of America Learning Center in West Chester, which gives it strong appeal for working professionals in the Cincinnati and Dayton metro areas. Classes are taught by a mix of professors and industry experts.

The U.S. News part-time MBA ranking is based on five factors: average peer assessment score; average GMAT score and GRE scores of part-time MBA students entering in the fall of 2012; average undergraduate GPA; work experience and the percentage of the fall 2012 MBA enrollment that is part time.

“The increase in the ranking is testament to the effort of our faculty and staff in working to continuously improve the scope and quality of our professional MBA program,” said Ray Gorman, interim dean of the Farmer School of Business.

Other Miami graduate programs recognized

Other Miami graduate programs ranked by U.S. News & World Report among the top 100 in their respective program areas include speech pathology at 52, English at 77, the School of Education, Health, and Society at 91, history at 92 and studio art at 93.

The Best Graduate Schools 2014 guidebook will be available in stores April 9.
