Miami University professor to speak at Taft Symposium

Miami University political science professor Ryan Barilleaux is one of four local professors who will speak at this weekend's annual Taft Symposium at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 6, at the Taft Education Center auditorium in Cincinnati.

Sponsored by the William Howard Taft National Historic Site, the interactive symposium titled “William Howard Taft: A Life of Service and His Legacy” features four local academic speakers, including Barilleaux, Miami’s Paul Rejai Professor of Political Science. Bariellaux’s presentation, “Why Taft’s Presidency Matters,” will highlight the accomplishments of William Howard Taft’s presidency.

Also presenting at this year’s symposium are history professors Rebecca Bailey (Northern Kentucky University) and Peter Robinson (College of Mount Saint Joseph) and law professor Christopher Bryant (University of Cincinnati College of Law).
