Alumnus Juan Gilbert to speak about voting accessibility and security

Miami University's Computer Science and Software Engineering Student & Alumni Conference will feature a keynote presentation from alumnus Juan Gilbert (Miami '91) 2:15 p.m. Friday, April 12, in Patten Auditorium, Benton Hall.

Now in its 11th year, the conference allows CSE/ECE students (majors and minors) and alumni to hear presentations on current technologies and explore career opportunities.

Gilbert is the presidential endowed chair in computing at Clemson University. He also leads the human centered computing (HCC) division lab in the university’s school of computing.

A Hamilton native, Gilbert was honored by the mayor led city council when it declared February 2012 “Dr. Juan Gilbert Month.”

The presentation is free and open to the public.
