The concert will feature dances choreographed by guest artists, Dance Theatre alumnae and current company members, with music ranging from the sounds of the Villa-Lobos, to Amy Winehouse, to “Fosse” jazz, to contemporary.

Joanna Kotze (Miami ’98), a New York City-based dancer and choreographer, choreographed “it is happening”; and Gregory Robinson, freelance choreographer and former artistic associate of the Dayton Ballet, choreographed “Strum.”

Student choreographers include Kristen Bell, junior marketing major and communications minor, with “space between places”; Danielle Salomon, junior finance and entrepreneurship double major and Chinese minor, with “Track 6”; and Marie Hirko, junior kinesiology major, with “Viva!.”

Recent alumnae choreographed several dances: Aimi Toyama (Miami ’11, microbiology and clinical laboratory sciences double major), with “Do We Live This Way?”; Bridgette Rawlins (Miami ’12, microbiology major) with “The Satin Lounge”; and Sami Ackard (Miami ’12, psychology major and Spanish minor), with “Back to Black.”
