Dr. William Browne, former medical director of Miami's student health services, died Saturday, April 13 following an illness.
Browne, 77, served as medical director at Miami from 1985 through June 1998. He was called instrumental in the design of the new student medical facility. A 1957 Miami graduate, he and his wife Cornelia were a 57-year Miami Merger.
Drafted as a physician in 1966, Browne served as a captain in the U.S. Army while commanding officer of the dispensary at Tooele (Utah) Army Depot.
