IT services will send its annual Tech Qual survey soon to randomly selected individuals. The survey is in regards to the quality and effectiveness of technology services at Miami University.
IT services encourages individuals who receive the survey to respond because these responses provide IT services with vital information regarding the improvement of technology services that Miami University students, faculty and staff depend on everyday.
For example, feedback from the past two Tech Qual surveys has led to significant improvements in bandwidth, which was improved partially by developing a new ability to shift bandwidth between the academic buildings and the residence halls, based on demand. The Tech Qual survey also inspired improvements in wireless coverage, especially in the Libraries.
In 2012 only 11 percent of 4,776 people who were sent the survey responded compared to a 17 percent response rate from 4,826 people in 2011.
