The Miami Convenient Care Clinic, a service of McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital, reached a milestone in March by treating its 1,000th patient.
The Convenient Care Clinic opened in October 2012 as a benefit for Miami employees and their dependents covered under the university health plan.
Although not a replacement for a primary care physician visit, the clinic provides healthcare services at no cost with extended hours. The clinic is intended to treat things like general illness, flu, sinus infections, ear aches, pink eye, mild nausea or vomiting, insect bites, sore throats, rashes, minor cuts and abrasions.
The clinic is open 11 a.m.- 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and is located in the southeast wing of the Student Health Services Center. Appointments are encouraged, but not required. Call the clinic at 513-529-2607 to schedule an appointment.
