Keith Crutcher, former National Institutes of Health scientific review officer and former professor of neurosurgery at the University of Cincinnati, will present his perspective on the NIH peer review process at 3 p.m. Thursday, May 9, in 218 Pearson Hall.
Crutcher served as the scientific review officer for NIH’s emerging technologies and training in neurosciences study section.
While at the University of Cincinnati he conducted NIH-funded studies on the role of growth factors in neuronal plasticity and mechanisms of neuronal degeneration in Alzheimer’s disease.
Crutcher received his doctorate in anatomy from Ohio State University and postdoctoral training at Duke University in human aging and neuronal plasticity.
