Miami students receive honors from department of classics

Miami University students were recently honored by the department of classics for their work during the 2012-2013 academic year.

The Elliott Greek Prize, for excellence in Greek study, was awarded to Tyler Gau, senior double major in classical languages and mathematics, and Stephanie Krause, junior classical languages major.

The Bishop Latin Prize, for excellence in the study of Latin, was awarded to Karen Krumpak, senior double major in English and history.

The Bishop-Elliott Prize, for excellence in the study of Classical Humanities, was awarded to Kristie Fernberg, senior classical humanities major, and William Larrick, senior double major in classical humanities and history.

The Judith de Luce Prize was awarded to Jonathan Wheeler, senior English major.

The American Philological Association (APA) Outstanding Student Award was awarded to Tyler Gau.

The Classical Association of the Middle West and South (CAMWS) Outstanding Student Award was awarded to Kristie Fernberg.
