NO HATE" buttons available

The NO HATE campaign, started by concerned campus and community members in response to the Jan. 19 assault on two Miami University students, has taken another step with the creation of the NO HATE button.

The button features the NO HATE logo that was created as a symbol to show intolerance for crimes of violence and hate. "Each and every one of us can make a difference by taking a stand, one at a time, that hate, discrimination and violence will not be tolerated in our community," said Dennis Roberts, assistant vice president for student affairs at Miami.

Sponsoring offices and individuals are making the buttons available in order to maintain awareness of the NO HATE campaign and to help make the one-at-a-time commitment work.

NO HATE buttons are available from the Miami University board of trustees, the office of the president, offices of the provost, vice president for student affairs, affirmative action and human resource development, Associated Student Government, Campus Ministry Center, Hillel Foundation, Interfraternity Council, Panhellenic Council, public safety, Students Together Opposing Prejudice (STOP) and Bill and Kay Snavely.
