New Programming Available in Oxford

OXFORD, Ohio -- Miami University now offers a cable news service to the Oxford community via TimeWarner Cable. Channel 13, the university access channel, carries 24-hour international and NASA programming.

Schedule is as follows:

4-7 p.m. weekdays - NASA news is scheduled.

All other weekday hours from 12:01 a.m. Monday to midnight Friday, Channel 13 will run SCOLA 1, which carries foreign language news from 40 countries in their native languages.

From 12:01 a.m. Saturday to midnight Sunday, SCOLA 2 will air. It features entertainment and documentary programming from all over the world in native languages.

On occasion Miami will pre-empt programming to broadcast events on campus such as guest speakers and teleconferences. Informational programs about the university will be offered at selected times of the year.

Also, NASA programming may be extended during an important mission, as the agency provides uninterrupted coverage of shuttle launches and activities on board.
