Dragonfly tests first Wild Research Stations at Cincinnati Zoo

Miami's Project Dragonfly continues to involve alumni, faculty, staff and students from across campuses in its newest initiative, Wild Research. Currently it is testing a prototype of Wild Research Stations at the Cincinnati Zoo.

Wild Research is a $2.5 million NSF-funded partnership with the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden created to deepen public engagement at zoos and to revolutionize how zoos serve as public learning institutions.

More details on Wild Research progress are in The Wild Times, an online newsletter.

The newsletter includes other news about the more than 130 Miami alumni and graduate students who have been accepted to Earth Expeditions' graduate courses, engaging in field research at international conservation sites, at the Cincinnati Zoo and other U.S. zoos, and in classrooms throughout the country.
