Miami University alumni in more than 30 cities in the United States and around the world will celebrate a historic event Saturday, Feb. 21, 2009, recognizing the 200th anniversary of Miami's chartering in 1809.
In conjunction with the traditional Charter Day Ball hosted in Miami's Millett Hall, alumni will gather at select national and international locations to launch the university's Bicentennial Celebration. A list of locations and information on how to go can be found at http://www.miamialum.org/chapters.
"We are very excited that so many Miamians will have this opportunity to celebrate a truly historic evening by sharing their reflections and memories of their time at Miami with one another," said Ray Mock, executive director of Miami's alumni association, which is sponsoring the alumni events.
