‘Urban Tattoo’ discussion, performance

A staged reading of "Urban Tattoo," a multimedia, one-woman show sponsored by Miami’s Native American Women Playwrights Archive, will be presented at 8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 7, in Hall Auditorium.

The play, written and performed by Marie Humber Clements, a member of the Canadian Metis First Nation, uses music, dance, poetry and prose to tell the story of one Native woman’s journey from the country to the city and home again. Randy Reinholz, director, will discuss the work in a pre-performance lecture at 7:15 p.m.

Major funding for the production is provided by the Western College Alumnae Association. Other sponsors include the theatre department, the School of Fine Arts and student activities.

Tickets, $3, are available at the door prior to the performance. All attending are also invited to a post-performance question-and-answer period and reception with Clements and Reinholz.
