Ralph Reed to speak at Miami

By Karah Woesner

The man Time magazine once called one of 50 future leaders in the nation is coming to Miami Monday, Nov. 15.

Political analyst and consultant Ralph Reed will lecture on "Values and Politics" as part of the Miami University Lecture Series.

Reed rose to prominence as executive director of the Christian Coalition from 1989-1997. He expanded the organization to more than 2 million members and 2,000 chapters and increased the annual budget from $200,000 to more than $27 million.

Known for his political strategies, Reed is "one of the most talented people of his generation in public life," according to author and former secretary of education William Bennett.
Reed began his career in 1976 working for a congressional campaign. He has consulted on more than two dozen national campaigns, including four presidential campaigns.

All lectures are at 8 p.m. in Hall Auditorium with tickets available at 7 p.m. at the Hall Auditorium box office on the day of the lecture.

Woesner is a student writer in the news and public information office.
