Entrepreneurship program a model
Miami’s Thomas C. Page Center for Entrepreneurship has been named one of two finalists for the National Model Entrepreneurship Program Award (undergraduate category) sponsored by the United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (USASBE).
USASBE is the nation’s largest organization of academics, directors of small business development centers and government officials who work on policy and research affecting the development of small business and entrepreneurship.
The other national model finalist is the University of Arizona.
The winner will be selected following presentations Feb. 7 at the annual USASBE conference in Orlando.
"Regardless of what happens there, this is a great honor for our program and a reflection on the fantastic team of Minet Schindehutte, Jeff June, Jeff Stamp, Katie Zehnder and Donna Hensley," said Michael Morris, Cintas Chair in Entrepreneurship and director of the Page Center. "It is also a reflection on our students, on those who preceded us in the Page Center, and on the tremendous support we have received over the past few years from so many people within the school of business."
A team of June, Morris, Schindehutte and Zehnder will give the presentation for the center at the conference.
