Alum to present EAP 100th anniversary lecture
Richard Moran, a 1981 graduate of Miami’s educational leadership program, will present the first in a series of guest lectures celebrating the School of Education and Allied Profession’s 100th anniversary. He will speak at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, at the art museum.
Moran is chairman of Ark Venture Partners, a Silicon Valley-based firm, and a director of several corporations. He is also a Senior Fellow at the UCLA Center for Communications Policy.
He has held a variety of executive level positions, most recently as managing partner at Accenture in the media and entertainment practice.
As a consultant, he has worked with corporations around the world including Disney, AT&T and Apple Computer.
President of the San Francisco Museum and Historical Society, he also serves on the board of the National 4-H Council.
He is the author of seven books; his most recent, Fear No Yellow Stickies, was a national best seller. He has appeared on CNN and other media outlets including NPR, NBC and Fox.
Former chair of the board of trustees at Golden Gate University, he serves on the board of visitors for the Indiana University School of Education and has consulted at Stanford University, Santa Clara University and others.
