Leuders exhibition opens Oct. 28

An exhibition of work by clay artist Mark Leuders, "Dimensions," opens Oct. 28 at Hiestand Galleries, School of Fine Arts.

Leuders received a bachelor’s degree from Miami in 1991 and an MFA from the University of Pennsylvania in 1993. He also studied at the University of the Arts and the Rhode Island School of Design.

Leuders has been resident artist and instructor at the Clay Studio in Philadelphia and lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania. He has been featured in solo exhibitions at the Clay Studio, Fleisher Art Memorial in Philadelphia and the Kohn Pederson Fox Gallery and Nancy Margolis Gallery, both in New York.

Leuders combines traditional clay-building techniques with digital photography in his works.

The exhibition continues through Nov. 15. Hiestand hours are 8:30 a.m.-4:30 pm., Monday through Friday. Admission is free. For more information, call 9-1883.
