French troupe to present Sartre play

"Huis Clos" ("No Exit"), Jean-Paul Sartre’s dark comedy examining issues of space, time, relationships and gender with a post-World War II perspective, will be performed in French at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15, in Peabody Hall’s Leonard Theatre.

The three performers are members of Le Théâtre de la Chandelle Verte, an alliance of professional artists and scholars dedicated to broadening an appreciation for theatre performed in French.

The performance is free, sponsored by the L.P. Irvin Lecture Fund of the department of French and Italian with the College of Arts and Science, the Center for American and World Cultures, the committee for the enhancement of learning and teaching (CELT), the Miami University Fund, department of theatre and office of residence life.
