Communication honorary establishes chapter at Miami
A chapter of Lambda Pi Eta, a national honorary society for communication students, has formed at Miami. Charter members were inducted Tuesday, Nov. 16, at Kumler Chapel.
Lambda Pi Eta recognizes communication students who are exceptional within the field, have earned outstanding scholastic achievement in communication studies and are leaders in the department.
Members will network with communication students, faculty and professionals as well as work with other campus organizations to foster relationships between communications and other areas of study. As one of its first activities, Lambda Pi Eta will co-sponsor a visit by an intellectual property lawyer next semester with PRSSA (Public Relations Student Society of America).
Lambda Pi Eta is the official communication studies honor society of the National Communication Association and has nearly 420 active chapters at colleges and universities worldwide.
Bruce Drushel (communication) is adviser.
