Writers' Harvest Nov. 14

The creative writing faculty will present “Writers' Harvest” - a reading to benefit local organizations fighting hunger - at 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 14, in Leonard Theatre, Peabody Hall.

Readers include David Bell, cris cheek, Eric Goodman, Bill Howe, Sianed Jones, Steve Lansky, Margaret Luongo, James Reiss and Keith Tuma.

Donations will be accepted to raise money for three local organizations fighting hunger: Cincinnati's FreeStore/FoodBank, the Middletown Food Pantry and the Family Resource Center in Oxford. This event is coordinated with Miami's Pledge-A-Meal program in which students pledge the value of their dinner on Nov. 14 to these same charities.

Last year, more than 1,600 Miami students pledged a meal, which generated more than $4,600 for these organizations.

For more information, contact the English department at 9-5221.
