Miami mourns loss of a student

The Miami University community is mourning the loss of one of its newest members, Sean VanDyne. Sean was a May 2013 graduate of Hamilton High School (Hamilton OH), and he entered Miami's Farmer School of Business (FSB) as an accountancy major this fall.

At Hamilton High, he was a member of the football team and also served as the vice president of the National Honors Society. VanDyne was recruited to Miami as a member of the first class of FSB Scholars, an elite group of student scholar/leaders. He was recently married, and his wife Rachel is also a Miami University student. VanDyne will be missed by many.

The entire Miami University community sends its thoughts and prayers to his family and friends. Anyone at Miami who feels a need for support should call the office of the dean of students at 513-529-1877.
