The Miami University Collegiate Chorale and Men’s Glee Club, conducted by Jeremy Jones, will perform at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, in Hall Auditorium.

The Collegiate Chorale will perform a variety of sacred music by composers including Paul Basler, Ola Gjeilo, Morten Lauridsen, Felix Mendelssohn, Sergei Rachmaninoff and Arvo Part. They will also perform the American spirituals “Go Where I Send Thee” and “Ride On, King Jesus.”
The Men’s Glee Club will feature “Lead Gently, Lord” by Douglas Pew, commissioned by the ensemble for its performance at the 2014 Intercollegiate Men’s Choruses National Seminar.
They will also perform works by Vincent Persichetti, Franz Biebl and Jeffrey T. Horvath, and a selection of traditional pieces from other cultures including “Wedding Qawwali” by A.R. Rahman; “Heleluyan,” a Muscogee Indian song; “Betelehemu”, a Nigerian Christmas song; and “Tshotsholoza,” a South African song.
