The Armstrong Student Center
The Miami University community is invited to the Armstrong Student Center dedication at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7, followed by an open house.
Open to the public, the dedication will include a brief program featuring Mike and Anne Armstrong, both Miami '61, who provided the leadership gift of $15 million for the center. The dedication will be followed by musical entertainment, building tours and complimentary tastes.
Sixty percent of the center's $53.1 million cost came from more than 11,000 gifts to Miami's For Love and Honor campaign.
The three-floor center includes a theater for movies and performances; a large, open area with seating for more than 450 students surrounded by specialty dining concepts; event space, meeting rooms and offices for student organizations; and the Shade Family Room celebrating Miami's history and tradition.
