Performing Arts Series: Calder Quartet Feb. 10

The Calder Quartet will perform at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 10, at the Oxford Community Arts Center, 10 S. College Ave.  The concert is part of the Miami University Performing Arts Series' Oxford Chamber Series.

Known for their contemporary, fresh approach to classical music, Calder Quartet has been praised for their “passionate engagement…pinpoint control and near-flawless execution.” 

They have performed in some of the world's top halls — including Carnegie Hall and Walt Disney Concert Hall — and have been featured on Jay Leno and Jimmy Kimmel’s late night shows. They have shared the stage with rock bands The National and The Airborne Toxic Event and appeared at the Coachella music festival,

Calder Quartet knows how to blend the beauty of classical music with the cultural relevance to appeal to all audiences.

Tickets, $10 students/youth, $15 seniors and adults, are available at the Miami University Box Office in Shriver Center.

Beethoven - String Quartet No. 11 in F minor, Op. 95
Jorg Widmann - String Quartet No. 3, "Jagdquartett"
Schubert - String Quartet No. 14 in D minor, D. 810 "Death and the Maiden"
