Sign Language and Deaf Awareness Club kicks off spring event lineup during Silent and Diversity Week

The Miami University Sign Language and Deaf Awareness Club invites the community to attend upcoming special events as members kick off their spring lineup during Silent and Diversity Week.

Monday, March 9 – National Theatre of the Deaf performance

"Show of Hands Version B," short story by Mark Twain
5 p.m. Wilks Theater, Armstrong Student Center

"Diaries of Adam and Eve" with a modern twist by Mark Twain
7:30 p.m.  Wilks Theater, Armstrong Student Center

Monday, March 9 — Harilyn Rousso: Lecture by disability activist and author
2 p.m. 219 McGuffey Hall

Tuesday, March 10 — Performance Night

Any signer is welcome to perform a song, story, poem, etc.
6 p.m. 102 Bachelor Hall

Wednesday, March 11 — Puttin' On The Hits

Dance competition that incorporates sign language into the dances and a special performance by visitors from St. Rita's School for the Deaf
7:30 p.m.  Millett Hall

Thursday, March 12 — Movie Night

Screening of the movie "See What I'm Saying"
6 p.m. 112 Pearson Hall
