Miami University’s department of intercollegiate athletics and the Division of University Advancement announce the official launch of MiamiOH.edu/GraduatingChampions.

Created in support of the Graduating Champions Campaign, the fully designed website tells the story of Miami athletics and the reasoning behind the Graduating Champions Campaign. It includes interviews and profiles featuring Miami leadership, coaches, student-athletes, alumni and faculty members while also exploring Miami’s rich athletic history and offering glimpses into the facility projects that are important to future success.

Ongoing site updates will include campaign news and updates, new interviews and additional historical content. An overview of the key sections includes the following:

  • The Campaign:  An overview of the Graduating Champions Campaign, including the Graduating Champions mission, campaign steering committee and video interviews featuring Athletic Director David Sayler and President David Hodge.
  • Our History:  A timeline of great moments in Miami athletics history, ranging from Miami’s first football game in 1888 to sophomore Pei Lin’s runner-up finish at the 2015 NCAA Diving Championships.
  • Champions Today:  Current Miami student-athletes talk about why they chose Miami and their experiences in the competitive arena and the classroom.
  • Champions for Life:  Profiles on former Miami student-athletes, including Enrico Blasi ’94 (ice hockey), Don Crain ’70 (baseball), Devin Davis ’00 (men’s basketball), John Harbaugh ’84 (football), Quinten Rollins ’14 (football/basketball) and others.
  • The Value:  A look at the value of intercollegiate athletics today and an in-depth look into how Miami does intercollegiate athletics “The Right Way.”
  • Facilities: Overviews, facility renderings and ongoing construction updates on the eight facility projects identified as priorities for the Graduating Champions Campaign.

Officially launched in April, the Graduating Champions Campaign seeks to raise $80 million to support student-athlete scholarships and improve Miami’s athletic facilities. It seeks the participation of alumni, friends and fans at all giving levels, ranging from naming gifts to annual Red & White Club support.
