Men's Glee Club concerts: April 28 features Broadway star Ciaran Sheehan; April 29 spring concert

Join the Miami University Men's Glee Club and special guest Broadway star Ciaran Sheehan (at right) in his Friday-only appearance at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 28, in Hall Auditorium.

Among Sheehan’s other work, he is known for playing the role of the Phantom in “The Phantom of The Opera” for more than 1,000 performances on Broadway and in Toronto.

The Men's Glee Club, directed by Jeremy D. Jones, will open the performance, followed by solo works featuring Sheehan.  He will perform several Broadway tunes with the Glee Club, including "Make Them Hear You" from “Ragtime” and "Bring Him Home" from “Les Miserables.”

Tickets, $14 adults and $9 seniors/students/youth, are available at the H.O.M.E. box office in 128 Campus Avenue Building, by calling 529-3200 or online.

Saturday, April 29 spring concert features two world premieres

The Men's Glee Club will present their spring “home” concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 29 in Hall Auditorium.

From Bach to Beethoven and Broadway to Bollywood, the ensemble will present a diverse program of repertoire.

Two world premieres will be featured, including “Last Kind Words” by composer Paul John Rudoi, who is also a member of the professional men’s vocal ensemble Cantus. The Glee Club rehearsed the piece with Rudoi by Skype (right).
