Open to all: Register now for Miami's first annual Diversity and Inclusion Conference Oct. 11

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

Miami University’s first annual Diversity and Inclusion Conference will be held 8 a.m.- 4 p.m.  Friday, Oct. 11, at Shriver Center.

This free conference is open to all students, staff, faculty and community members who are interested in exploring key aspects of diversity and inclusion.

The schedule includes breakout sessions on disability awareness, Green Zone training, LGBTQ+ allyship and more.

The conference begins with a Truth and Reconciliation Project ceremony, a remembrance event for two lynchings that occurred in Oxford in 1877 (Mr. Sim Garnett) and 1892 (Mr. Henry Corbin).

Ronald Scott, vice president for institutional diversity and inclusion, will give a closing discussion on the state of diversity and inclusion at Miami.
